Registered Director Training 

Due to the ever increasing demand for RAINBOWS throughout the country, a Registered Director Training programme is held every two years.  This is a five day residential workshop where the Registered Director becomes familiar with what is involved in being a trainer and learns all aspects of the various programmes.  On completion of his/her training the registered Director is competent to train facilitators and coordinators in the local area.

Facilitator and Coordinator Training

The registered Director is responsible for the provision of facilitator and co-ordinator training in a local area.  This may be a school, parish or pastoral setting.  The facilitator learns all aspects of his/her task in facilitating the small group gatherings.  He/she gently accompanies the participants in exploring their grief journey in the use of age appropriate journals and facilitates participant sharing of their experiences in the group.  The coordinator training ensures that one person in each location where RAINBOWS operates attends to the administrative issues involved in the smooth running of the programmes.
