RAINBOWS is a non profit making, international organisation that provides curricula for establishing peer support groups for children, youth and adults who have experienced a death, separation, divorce or other painful transition in their family. We facilitate them through the grieving process by implementing the RAINBOWS curricula in schools, parish and pastoral settings and other social agencies. Such grief needs support as well as healing. This need is increasing each passing year. Rainbows provides a programme which, when followed, has been proven to be effective.
The aim of the programme is to give participants an understanding of their new family unit and to assist them in the building of self-esteem; and to direct them towards a healthy acceptance of the changes that have taken place in their lives.
